My mum still reminds me that as a kid, I used to take yogurt from the fridge and try to sell it back to her—arguing that it would expire soon, so she better act fast. Early signs of entrepreneurship? Absolutely. Ethical business model? Questionable.

Born in Southern Italy, surrounded by olive trees and great food, I somehow ended up getting obsessed with technology and started coding and hacking at the age of 10. To make things a bit more structured (and probably to my parents’ relief), I joined the Italian Navy at 15, attending Scuola Navale Militare Morosini. The plan was set—but I got distracted along the way. Instead of becoming a career naval officer, I took a hard left turn into engineering, earned a degree in Electronic Engineering, and wrote my thesis on Radar and Electronic Warfare.

The funny thing? I never actually worked as an engineer. Instead, I spent my career navigating the world of venture capital, AI, and defense tech—turns out, you don’t need a ship to explore uncharted territories.

Professional Bio

I began my career at Vodafone and then at McKinsey & Company, where I spent six years advising clients in Defense, Financial Services, and Digital Transformation. I later led the Venture Team at Slimmer AI, a venture studio focused on AI-driven companies, where we invested in Sentinels (acquired by Fenergo), Biller (acquired by Banking Circle), Hadrian, and Vesper. A serial entrepreneur, I've also founded two startups in travel tech and am an active angel investor, building a portfolio of 19 companies across various sectors.

I attended the Italian Navy School Morosini before earning a BSc and MSc in Electronic Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. There, I did academic exchanges at KTH (Sweden) and Delft University (Netherlands) and my thesis focused on Radar and Electronic Warfare. I also have an MBA from INSEAD.
